Old Orchard Beach
has been a long time favorite summer vacation destination. Nearby are 3
amusement parks, many great restaurants, beautiful sandy beaches, several
golf courses, plenty of shops, arcades, scenic views, the famous Pier and
much more. Explore the area and have some fun. For further area information,

the bottom of the page.
Old Orchard Beach Area:
Old Orchard Beach Pier: Famous
Maine Beach Pier,
475 feet long with arcades, places to eat and drink, and great photos to
be taken. Visit this historical beach pier! Fun area for all ages.
Palace Playland: Beachfront amusement
park with large
arcade, rollercoaster, carousel, ferris wheel, kiddieland and more.
Open from Memorial Day to Labor Day, with a fireworks show every Thursday
night. Always free admission. Located by The Pier.
Pirate's Cove Adventure
Golf: On First Street, Old Orchard Beach. A championship 36 hole miniature
course. Great family fun.
Old Orchard Beach: Seven miles beach for
swimming, sun-bathing, mild surfing, walking, jogging and getting that
great summer tan!
Area Restaurants: The
finest seafood and steak restaurants
on the coast. You won't have trouble finding them, but you might
want to ask the locals which ones are the best.

Saco and Biddeford:
Funtown/Splashtown:
An
adventure theme park, with free parking, group rates, open weekends in
May and daily
from mid June throughout the summer season. Water park, amusement
rides, Excalibur wooden rollercoaster (Maine's only wooden rollercoaster).
US Route 1 in Saco.
Aquaboggan Water Park:Open
daily 10 am to 6 pm during the regular season, with free parking.
Wave pool, slides, and other water themed attractions. US Route 1 in Saco.
Wood Island Lighthouse:
You
may view this fully automated Maine lighthouse from Biddeford Pool.
Biddeford-Saco Country

Beach View Beach:
Free parking at this sandy Saco beach area. On Bay View Road in Saco
Beach Avenue: Another
small sandy beach area with free parking. Located in Biddeford (Route 208).
Biddeford Pool: A
two mile stretch of sandy beach in Biddeford. Parking permit required.
Fortunes Rocks: In
Biddeford, another small sandy beach.
Scarborough:
Scarborough Downs:
Harness
track racing in nearby Scarborough,
Maine.
Pine Point Beach:
Parking available here at this sandy beach area which adjoins Grand Beach.
Higgins Beach:
Route 77. Ther is parking and changing rooms at this small beach
area.
